750,000 Terraformers
Hey, folks! I'm currently working on a BIG update to TerraGenesis, but in the meantime I have a very exciting announcement: TerraGenesis has just reached 750,000 players!

This has been an incredible eight months since we soft-launched TerraGenesis, and I couldn't be happier or more proud of the community that has sprung up around this game. As cheesy as it sounds, it really is the players that make this game great.

So thank you to you all, and let's keep spreading the word about TerraGenesis!
TerraGenesis v4.2
This update contains numerous small bug fixes and new additions, many of which were suggested by the players:

- Fixed a bug that would allow a random event saving “hundreds of lives” on cities with less than 100 population (thanks, Gage!)
- Fixed a bug that would cause the BioFixture Lab to have side effects that differ from its description (thanks, Michael!)
- Fixed a bug that would cause some colony/outpost minimaps to appear flooded
- Fixed a bug that would cause seams to appear on the back of some worlds
- Fixed a bug related to the Biomass row of the Stats Summary page
- Improved rendering performance on high-population worlds

Heading to GDC
Hey, folks. Just a quick update: Lacey and I will be heading to GDC (the Game Developers Conference) in San Francisco this week, so we won't be able to spend as much time engaging with the community and answering questions over the next few days. If you're a developer at GDC though, definitely drop us a line or try to find us on the floor: we don't have a booth, but we'll be trying to cover as much ground, hand out as many cards, and make as many connections as possible!

When we get back I'm going to do my best to catch up and respond to everyone who contacted us, but in the meantime feel free to post your questions in the public Facebook group ( and they'll help you out. They're a bunch of awesome folks (and they're getting close to a thousand members!).

Thanks again to all of our players and everyone who has helped make TerraGenesis such a huge hit! We really couldn't ask for a better community to have grown around this game, and you make maintaining and expanding TerraGenesis a joy! Stay tuned for more updates, and until then, happy terraforming!
TerraGenesis v4.1
This update contains numerous small bug fixes and new additions, many of which were suggested by the players:

- Fixed a bug related to purchasing world bundles (if you experienced this bug, just tap "Restore Purchases" after updating to get your worlds immediately!)
- Fixed a bug that would show "biomass" numbers on screenshots when using Biospheres
- Re-added Biomass row to Stats Summary page, to better outline habitability requirements (thanks, Cody!)
- Adjusted the intergalactic laws regarding the detection and punishment of time travelers
- Added a “+” icon on the Stats pages to facilities currently being upgraded (thanks, Alberto!)
- Added localized names for new worlds in Japanese, Chinese, and Korean
- Improved Soletta performance with Biosphere

Edgeworks Day
Hey, folks! Happy February 9th!

For those who don’t know, February 9th is Edgeworks Entertainment’s anniversary, celebrating the day that our very first webseries, a Halo-machinima series called The Codex, was launched in 2005. Since then, we make a point to announce big news and launch new products each year on this day. So whether it’s your first time here or you’ve been with us from the start, welcome to Edgeworks Entertainment and happy February 9th!

Today we’ve got two big announcements to make. The first, you may have already noticed: we’re relaunching the Edgeworks website! We’ve got a shiny new logo and a completely revamped design, and we’re so happy to finally unveil it to the public. I’ve been saying for years that Edgeworks is coming back, and thanks to the success of TerraGenesis, it’s finally happening. So welcome to the new and improved! Feel free to look around, check out what we have in store, and get to know our new look. We’ve still got some updating to do, particularly in the forum, so check back often for new updates and changes!

The other big news today isn’t as unexpected, but it’s a lot more highly anticipated: version 4.0 of TerraGenesis is officially live!

Announced a few weeks ago, TerraGenesis v4.0 brings the final unveiling of the much-discussed “Coming Soon” button: Biospheres! Build a complete global ecosystem from the ground up, designing it organism by organism and gene by gene. With 64 genes to choose from, 26 phylums to explore, 12 new random events, and literally infinite possible combinations, Biospheres is the single biggest update in TerraGenesis’s history! I have been working on it non-stop since August, and I am so happy to finally be able to roll it out to the public.

And for those of you who play TerraGenesis: be sure to pop into the game today, you might find a celebratory surprise waiting for you!

Edgeworks Anniversary
Hi, hi, hello! Today is the anniversary of the founding of Edgeworks Entertainment! To celebrate, we have loads of good news for you!

One Year Later
A year ago today I was sitting on a couch in Christchurch, New Zealand. My wife and I were three weeks into a seven-month tour of the country, housesitting for a lovely couple who were visiting their daughter in the UK.
